Publication Policies
Publication Policies: Article Processing Charges (APCs)
I. Open Access Funding Model
The International Journal of Educational and Psychological Studies operates under a fully open-access publishing model. All published manuscripts are made immediately and permanently accessible online, allowing readers and academic institutions worldwide to view, download, print, and share the full text free of charge and without financial barriers. This approach enhances the global dissemination of scientific research, maximizes author citation impact, and advances scholarly knowledge. To sustain these open-access services and maintain rigorous publishing standards, the journal implements an Article Processing Charge (APC) framework governed by the following guidelines:
II. General Financial Policy
Free Manuscript Submission: The journal charges no fees for the initial submission of manuscripts or for uploading files via the editorial platform
Flat-Rate Fee Structure: The publication fee is structured as a flat rate. There are no additional costs based on page count, word count, or the inclusion of color illustrations and graphics
Payment Obligation: The standard Article Processing Charge is set at 100 Euros. This fee becomes due and legally binding only upon the formal, final acceptance of the manuscript following the successful completion of the plagiarism screening and double-blind peer review stages
III. Allocation of Article Processing Charges (APCs)
The revenue generated from APCs is reinvested directly into the journal's editorial, technical, and administrative workflows, which encompass:
Peer Review and Editorial Management: Coordinating the double-blind peer review pipeline and managing manuscript logistics
Technical Infrastructure and Hosting: Securing robust server infrastructure and maintaining the journal’s website to guarantee uninterrupted global access to content
Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Assignment: Allocating a permanent Crossref DOI to each published paper to ensure stable indexing and precise cross-referencing
Academic Documentation: Issuing official editorial acceptance letters and certified publication certificates to support authors' professional and institutional credentials
Global Indexation: Managing metadata distribution to ensure articles are indexed in prestigious global databases, including Google Scholar
Rigorous Plagiarism Screening: Financing advanced similarity checks using professional software (e.g., Quetext) and providing authors with comprehensive screening reports
Permanent Digital Archiving: Securing long-term preservation of all volumes through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) utilizing LOCKSS technology to guarantee data redundancy and disaster recovery
Scholarly Marketing and Visibility: Promoting published research through academic channels to maximize its international reach, readership, and citation metrics.
IV. Fee Waiver Policy
In alignment with the journal’s commitment to advancing global knowledge and fostering equal opportunities in scientific research, the following accommodations are available:
Full or Partial Fee Waivers: Authors residing in and affiliated with institutions from low-income countries (as classified by the official World Bank economic rankings) are eligible to apply for full or partial waivers
Support for Independent Researchers: Researchers who do not receive financial backing, grants, or institutional funding from academic bodies or sponsoring organizations may formally request an APC reduction
Application Procedure: To be considered, authors must submit a justified waiver application to the editorial board strictly during the initial manuscript submission phase. Requests submitted after a manuscript has been formally accepted will not be evaluated.
V. Authorized Payment Methods
Upon formal manuscript acceptance, authors may settle the Article Processing Charges (APCs) through the following approved institutional channels:
Direct International Bank Wire Transfer (SWIFT)
Authorized Instant Money Transfer Services (e.g., Western Union, MoneyGram).
VI. Copyright, Licensing, and Self-Archiving Policy
The journal is strictly dedicated to safeguarding the intellectual and academic property rights of researchers governed by the following statutory protocols:
Copyright Retention: Authors retain full, unrestricted copyright and intellectual property rights to their articles post-acceptance. The journal's authority is limited to securing a non-exclusive license to publish the work (First Publication Right)
Creative Commons Licensing: All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license framework
Licensing Permissions: This license permits global users to copy, redistribute, adapt, remix, and build upon the material strictly for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate scholarly attribution is explicitly given to the original author(s) and the journal is cited as the primary source of first publication
Green Open Access and Self-Archiving: The International Journal of Educational and Psychological Studies operates under an open-access mandate where authors retain complete publishing rights without restrictions. Authors are permitted and actively encouraged to deposit all versions of their manuscripts—including the preprint (submitted version), the postprint (accepted version after peer review), and the final publisher's Version of Record—into institutional repositories, university archives, or personal websites immediately upon publication, with zero embargo periods
