Assessment of Al- Hadith Textbooks for the Secondary Grade According to theAreas of Education for Sustainable Development

Abstract

 The aim of the study is to identify the fields of education for sustainable development and to determine the percentage of their availability in the books of Hadith Al-Sharif for the secondary stage. The study tool was a questionnaire, consisting of (22) sub-domains distributed over three main domains of sustainable education in order to find out their availability in the Hadith books for the secondary stage. The social domain of education for sustainable development includes (13) sub-domains, and the economic domain of education for sustainable development includes (4) Sub-fields, and the environmental field includes (5) sub-fields.

 

The sample of the study consisted of (48) lessons for all the lessons of the Noble Hadith for the three secondary levels (first, second, and third secondary) for the two semesters of the academic year 2024-2025. The study used the statistical methods of frequencies, percentages, and Holsti's equation for its suitability to the purpose of the study. The results of the study showed that the social domain of sustainable development is available in the books of the noble hadith for the secondary stage with the highest frequency (42) and at a rate of (87.5%), followed by the economic field of sustainable education, which is available in the lowest frequency (6) and with a rate of (12.5%) in the books of the noble hadith for the secondary stage. And the lack of an environmental field for sustainable development in the Hadith books for the secondary stage (zero). The study came out with many recommendations that amounted to 4 recommendations to be used in reconsidering the environmental and economic field of education for sustainable development in the Hadith books for the secondary stage, and paying attention to some social issues of sustainable education in textbooks and paying attention to the fields of education for sustainable development in development and continuing education
